Bleed Kits 

Yeovil Town Council is committed to installing and maintaining bleed kits in the town.  This initiative has been well supported by the community and the Council are busy engaging with local businesses.  Yeovil Town Council are currently the guardians of bleed kits at:

A set of educational videos has been produced to inform the public on the effective use of the HeartSafe Bleed Control Kit to manage blood loss before the arrival of ambulance services…

This initiative, pioneered through the Community Bleed Kit Partnership, has established a National Standard for emergency trauma response by placing life-saving tools in public spaces.

Originally established by Avon & Somerset Police, HeartSafe and South West Ambulance Service Trust, the model is now being replicated across the UK to provide 24/7 access to NHS-approved medical bleed control kits. The Community Bleed Control Kits are BS8559-1Compliant Critical Injury Pack.
